Full Plot Summary (Long Version)

ACT 1 — THE CURSED CHILD
The film opens with a live-action recreation of the Nine-Tails attack on the Hidden Leaf Village. Chaos erupts as the massive fox demon, Kurama, destroys everything in its path. In a desperate sacrifice, Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki seal the demon inside their newborn son — Naruto — before dying.
Years later, Naruto grows up an energetic but lonely outcast. Villagers fear him because the Nine-Tails resides within him. Despite this, Naruto loudly declares he will one day become Hokage so everyone will acknowledge him.
He joins the Ninja Academy, where he constantly gets into trouble. There we meet:
- Sakura Haruno – smart, caring, secretly curious about Naruto
- Sasuke Uchiha – a gifted prodigy haunted by the massacre of his clan
- Iruka – Naruto’s father-figure and first mentor
Naruto initially fails his graduation exam, but when Mizuki, a traitorous ninja, manipulates him into stealing the Scroll of Seals, Naruto discovers the Shadow Clone Jutsu and defeats Mizuki in a dramatic forest battle.
This earns him his headband — and Iruka’s pride.
ACT 2 — TEAM 7 IS FORMED
Naruto officially becomes a genin and is placed into Team 7, led by the mysterious jonin ninja, Kakashi Hatake.
Their dynamic is rocky:
- Naruto wants recognition
- Sasuke wants power
- Sakura wants stability
- Kakashi wants them to learn teamwork
Their first trial is Kakashi’s Bell Test. Naruto recklessly charges, Sasuke attacks strategically, Sakura supports — but all fail individually. Only when they unite do they pass.
Kakashi states the movie’s core theme:
“Those who abandon comrades are worse than scum.”
Team 7 begins low-rank missions, showing the world’s blend of ninja action and live-action effects: kunai battles, elemental jutsu, and Naruto’s comedic chaos.
Everything changes when the Hokage assigns them an unexpected, high-risk mission…
ACT 3 — THE LAND OF WAVES
Team 7 escorts a poor bridge builder, Tazuna, to the Land of Waves. They are soon ambushed by the Demon Brothers, revealing that a crime lord named Gato has hired deadly mercenaries to kill Tazuna.
The danger escalates when they encounter Zabuza Momochi, the “Demon of the Hidden Mist”, and his masked apprentice Haku.
A massive battle erupts on a fog-covered lake:
- Kakashi unleashes the Sharingan
- Zabuza uses Water Dragon Jutsu
- Naruto and Sasuke barely survive Haku’s ice jutsu
- The live-action world fills with mist, water, and chakra effects
Naruto experiences fear for the first time — but also determination.
ACT 4 — THE MIRROR DOME
The final battle takes place on Tazuna’s unfinished bridge, now shrouded in mist.
Haku traps Naruto and Sasuke inside his Crystal Ice Mirrors, moving at blinding speed. Sasuke protects Naruto repeatedly, showing the first signs of their brother-rival bond. When Sasuke is struck down and collapses, Naruto’s rage triggers Kurama’s chakra for the first time.
Eyes glowing, aura erupting, Naruto breaks the mirror prison and overwhelms Haku — but stops short of killing him.
Meanwhile, Kakashi defeats Zabuza, but Gato arrives with armed mercenaries to betray his hired ninjas.
In an emotional climax:
- Haku sacrifices himself to save Zabuza
- Zabuza, moved for the first time, slaughters Gato’s men despite his injuries
- Naruto witnesses the tragedy of enemies who were never truly evil
Zabuza and Haku die side by side in the mist.
The bridge is completed and named The Great Naruto Bridge.
ACT 5 — A NEW PATH
Back in the Leaf Village, Naruto reflects on Zabuza and Haku, realizing the world is bigger and darker than he imagined. His bond with Sasuke grows deeper — but Sasuke’s obsession with power grows stronger too, hinted with flashbacks of Itachi.
The final scene shows Naruto standing on the Hokage Monument at sunset.
Kakashi approaches and tells him:
“This is only the beginning.”
Naruto smiles, determined.
As he walks away, the camera cuts to:
- Orochimaru watching from the shadows
- Sasuke brooding under the moonlight
- The Nine-Tails eye opening inside Naruto
A title screen appears:
