The film opens at a secret biomedical research facility hidden in the frozen wilderness of Eastern Europe, where Dr. Amanda Hayes and her team are studying a massive genetically enhanced anaconda. Their research focuses on a rare and mysterious plant known as the “Blood Orchid,” believed to slow down aging and greatly extend life. However, the orchid also causes animals that consume it to grow unnaturally large, aggressive, and nearly impossible to kill. During a failed containment procedure, the anaconda escapes the lab, killing several researchers and disappearing into the snowy forest. Feeling responsible, Dr. Hayes joins a corporate-funded expedition led by the ruthless Hammett, who is more interested in the potential profit from the orchid than the safety of his team. Along with armed guards and a hardened guide named Sergei, they track the creature through abandoned villages, frozen rivers, and destroyed campsites, discovering signs of brutal attacks and realizing they are not hunting a normal snake, but a near-immortal predator. As the group moves deeper into the wilderness, Dr. Hayes explains that the Blood Orchid causes rapid cell regeneration, which allows the anaconda to survive severe injuries and continue growing stronger. The team eventually finds a hidden valley filled with glowing Blood Orchids, which the snake uses as its feeding ground.
From this point on, the anaconda begins actively hunting them, attacking from the snow, water, and ruined structures, killing members of the group one by one in violent and sudden encounters. Internal conflict erupts when some of the survivors want to destroy the orchids to stop the creature, while Hammett secretly tries to secure samples and even capture a smaller snake for personal gain, leading to more deaths and betrayal within the team. Realizing the snake cannot be captured or outrun, Dr. Hayes devises a final plan to lure it into a confined area near the orchid valley and destroy both the creature and the plants using explosives. In a chaotic final battle filled with fire, collapsing structures, and desperate escapes, the anaconda attacks with overwhelming force, nearly killing Dr. Hayes before the explosives are triggered. A massive explosion destroys the valley and seemingly kills the monstrous snake. The surviving members flee, believing the nightmare is finally over, but in the final moments, a small snake is revealed slithering away with a piece of the Blood Orchid, hinting that the dangerous cycle of greed, forbidden science, and monstrous creation may begin again.
